Will I remember what you said?
The ability to recall under hypnosis is under the same control as whether or not you remember a dream. If your Inner Self or subconscious wants you to continue to think about an issue when you dream or have hypnotherapy, then your subconscious will keep it on the forefront of your thoughts after waking. A hypnotherapist cannot override the good judgment of your subconscious mind, even though the therapist may suggest you might want to forget a strong recollection that occurred under hypnosis. Ultimately, you are in control.

How many office visits (sessions) will I need?
Like asking how many aspirin will it take to get rid of my headache, the answer depends on a lot of factors. Some programs follow a specific protocol, such as the ASCH (American Society of Clinical Hypnosis) Smoking Cessation Program, which is a total of 4 sessions with 5 years of follow up care, as needed. Some weight loss agendas will require more time, depending on the amount of weight to reduce as well as the duration of each suggestion. For most people, the benefits of the first session “lasts” about 5-7 days. For this reason, nearly all clients can benefit from a three visit program, with 7-10 days between each session. A Block Program Schedule is available to allow for specific dates with advanced scheduling and pre-payment option.

Do you make tapes?
No. It is more important for you to learn self-hypnosis and act as your own coach. You will want to avoid the temptation to become dependent on another’s voice.
Can I use my HSA/MSA/Cafeteria Plan card?
Yes, hypnotherapy is often considered a "non-covered medical expense" and  you can use your Health or Medical Savings Account card, just as you would pay for eyeglasses or any other out-of-pocket health expense. You may want to consult your tax preparer for ways to itemize these non-covered medical expenses on your tax return.
